Air Duct of Lexington

Our Services

The air filter in your home works hard to remove particulates and contaminants from the air before it exits the air vent. Even so, the air filter will never be able to catch all of the microscopic particles that escape through your air vent. This dust and debris can affect your health and the air quality of your home. You need duct cleaning.

If you want to improve the air quality of your home, and intern, the respiratory help it provides to you and your family, then give us a call at 859-888-1975 today!

Air Duct Cleaning

Air duct cleaning is needed at least twice per year because, in addition to the regular buildup of dirt and debris, there are several other factors that affect how dirty they might become, for example:
  • Pets
  • Cigarettes
  • Home Renovation
If you have pets, dander builds up in the air ducts of your home, no matter how often or thoroughly you might vacuum. This can lead to more severe allergies to any visitors or family members who are allergic to pets. If anyone in your home suffers from asthma, regular air duct cleaning can mitigate the effects of the allergens. Smoking cigarettes indoors can lead to smoke damage on the walls, and many of the carcinogens in the cigarettes become trapped in the ducts. Duct cleaning helps remove these dangerous chemicals and prevents prolonged second-hand exposure. Finally, if you have performed any home renovation project within the last year, all of that sawdust and debris inevitably found its way into your air vents. Duct cleaning will prevent all of the dust from finding its way back into your home. Check out our page on “Why Clean Air Ducts?” for more information!

How It's Done

Air duct cleaning is performed by first breaking whatever bond the contaminant might have with the surface of the duct. This is usually done with a brush or via remote-controlled machine. The next step in duct cleaning is to vacuum all of the contaminants out of the duct via an air vent. The ducts are sealed off before the step is done to prevent the pollutants and particulates from spreading throughout your home through the other air vents.
